Stump Removal & Replanting

Scores of palm trees were cut down on Swarthmore. While most houses on the street are destroyed, the CVS and Frontier building remain. There are nine stumps (5 on the CVS block, 4 in front of Frontier), plus one open planting spot.

We’ll remove each stump and plant a new 15 gal tree.

Aiglon Pocket Park Native Habitat Garden

Much of the vegetation at Aiglon Pocket Park was burned, we’re reimagining it as a native habitat garden.

Trash Cleanups

On Chautauqua Boulevard, a primary entrance to the Palisades, we removed trash, and along Bowdoin Street we cared for native plants by weeding and applying new ground cover.
Prior to students returning to Marquez elementary school we removed over a dozen bags of trash from the hillside between Marquez Ave and Marquez Terrace.
The Village cleanup had dozens of volunteers cleaning up trash on our streets and was generously hosted by the American Legion Post.
On Earth Day 2025 we restored Bowdoin St with a trash cleanup and planted four native species including a Coast Live Oak and Toyon, the official native plant of LA!

Free plants

We can provide free trees or shrubs for your yard! Visit the catalog to learn more about the species we recommend. Use the request button below to send us details on your project and we’ll be in touch with what plants we can provide.

Street tree mapping

We previously helped catalog trees using an app. This led to our Swarthmore tree planting project, and now the city is arranging for removal of dead street trees.
