Prosopis glandulosa torreyana (Western Honey Mesquite) 25'-35'-high x 25'-35'-wide (round to umbrella to vase shaped canopy) deciduous medium green, gold leaves greenish yellow flowers brown pods (Summer) origin: California to Texas and northern Mexico (native) low water use loamy to sandy soil with average to fast drainage no soil amendment (per pH 7.0–10.0) litter maintenance: medium/dry fruit low flammability unknown branch strength pruning maintenance: medium (mostly per thinning) allergenicity: high plant at least 2 feet from masonry local Sunset Zones 18-24
