Pistacia chinensis (Chinese Pistache) 25'-60'-high x 25'-60'-wide (oval to round to umbrella shaped canopy) deciduous medium green, red, gold, orange or multicolored leaves inconspicuous flowers red to blue to black drupes (Summer-Autumn) origin: southeast China to Philippines (not invasive) medium-low water use clay to loamy to sandy soil with fast drainage no soil amendment (per pH 6.0–10.0) litter maintenance: low/leaves low flammability high branch strength pruning maintenance: low-medium (per limbing-up) allergenicity: low (females) to medium-high (males) plant at least 2.5 feet from masonry local Sunset Zones 18-23
