Jacaranda mimosifolia (Jacaranda) 25'-50'-high x 15'-30'-wide (oval to round to umbrella to vase shaped canopy) more or less briefly spring deciduous light green, yellow leaves lavender-blue to purple flowers light brown capsules (Autumn-Winter) origin: Bolivia, Paraguay, northwest Argentina (not invasive) medium-low water use loamy to sandy soil with average to fast drainage no soil amendment (per pH 6.0–7.0) litter maintenance: medium/flowers, dry fruit low-medium flammability low branch strength pruning maintenance: medium (mostly per thinning) allergenicity: medium-low plant at least 2.5 feet from masonry local Sunset Zones 18-24
